Drink Beer. Bike. Party! Join Us this August in Sacramento
August in Sacramento has brought us warm toasty days and cool summer nights!
We’ve been having a blast, pedaling and partying our way through summer and depending on who you ask, the party is just getting started.
Meteorologists argue that summer comes to an end on August 31. But astronomers will say summer ends on September 22.
Either way, you look at it, we are left with plenty of time to soak up the season.
What things do you have to party this month?
Any Leo’s out there celebrating a birthday? Bachelor/bachelorette party? Anniversary? Company bonding party?
No matter the occasion, Sactown Social Bikes is ready to take you and your crew for a night on the town on our party bike!
Flexibility is important to us and we want to help you plan to make your event a success!
With 3-hour beer bike tours being offered 7 days a week, there is likely a time slot to accommodate what you’re looking for.
If you’re wanting to get a little sun the 4:30 pm time slot would be best, wanting a taste of the cool summer night, the 6 pm might be more up your alley—availability checking and booking can all be done through our website.
A beer bike tour allows you to experience Sacramento in a new way!
Grab your friends and pedal anywhere you’d like to go within the midtown boundaries. You can choose between 3-4 stops depending on locations. Hit your faves or if you’re wanting to try something new—we have a favorites list we’d be happy to walk you through.
Our BYOB allowance while on the party bike at no extra charge and full control of the aux cord are just a couple of the many perks of a night on the party bike.
Pro tip: Start a collaborative playlist with your homies in prep for the beer bike tour. Then everyone gets to hear their favorite song!
If you’ve been keeping up with our blog, you’ll have realized by now that the social scene in the city is on the up and up. Tons of new bars to check out and tons of new art popping up. We’ve had the privilege to see it all, and we want to share it with you!
We’ve done a little research and found quite the list of happenings to plan a beer bike stop at! Get those calendars out, let’s plan.
Get Excited for August Events in Sacramento!
August 2 at Highwater will be a party with Total Recall, bringing you hits from the 90’s/2000’s from 10pm-close.
90’s attire is encouraged!
Plan for your party bike stop to get there before 10 pm and skip the $5 cover.
Kick off the first Saturday of the month at Lipstick! An indie-rock dance party. There is a $5 cover—worth every penny if this is your style of music. Pedal to Old Ironsides August 3 and get ready to sing along.
THIS midtown is back this month on second Saturday, August 10, from 5p.m.-10p.m. This will be a party! Plan a beer bike stop to 20th & K for this fun, free event. Enjoy the weather, check out booths from local vendors and get your groove on. It’s 21+ to drink but all ages to dance! This month headliner Matt Zo will bring the vibes.
More Second Saturday fun can be found in front of Hot Pot Studios. A free sidewalk show will take place from 7 p.m.- 9 p.m. Their performance will feature bits from the Hot Pot Studios teachers, dancers, and troupes.
Second Saturday in Sactown—Party-Bike Style!
If you’re looking for second Saturday art, Leave Your Mark Sac on J will bring to you the photography of Jim Prigoff. Prigoff will be in-shop for a meet and greet as well as signing copies of his book Spraycan Art.
More second Saturday art can be found just a pedal down R street. Drop by art galleries and shops to get a taste of the local art scene.
While you’re on R street—Bottle and Barlow makes a great stop for craft cocktails.
The Jungle Bird has been hosting a summer travel tasting series called ‘Travel with the Jungle Bird.’ On Wednesday, August 14, if you plan a stop in at The Jungle Bird you will get to take a little trip to Louisiana. The word is that Chef Greg will be offering up culinary delights of the region and the bar will be whipping up some inspired cocktails featuring Bayou Rum.
“Midtown Made” is back this month on third Thursday, August 15. Pedal down to 24th & K this month to check out all things locally made, shop and create your own special projects. There will be beverages, live music, lawn games, and you will have the opportunity to snap some photos in Midtown BierGarten Volkswagen Bus photo booth.
Plan a Pedal To Infused Margarita Night, Bourbon & Blues & More
Give this month a proper send-off August 30 and celebrate “One More Time” at a Daft Punk inspired party at Harlow’s. Doors are at 9, so maybe pedal down to Centro before the show and have an infused margarita—or two!
If you have been in Sacramento any length of time at all you’ve likely been to Sunday night “church” at the Press Club. Any Sunday this month, join DJ Larry at the corner of 21st & P and get your funk on at this free event!
If you’re feeling swanky, plan a stop to hit Momo Sacramento on a Wednesday this month for their weekly “Bourbon & Blues” event. Sip on an Old Fashioned and get swept up in the blues. There is a different artist playing each week, so plan to groove at Momo’s this August 4th, 14th, 21st or 28th.
Live Music & Shows Every Week in Sacramento? Say no more.
Every Thursday this month there will be live music at Kupros. Plan a pedal to drop in around 7 pm or so when the night is just getting started. This free event will happen this month August 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th.
If you’re looking for “Something2Do” on a Friday night, plan a party bike stop to The Golden Bear.
The vibe is always right there. Every 2nd & 4th Friday there’s something happening in the back at Golden Bear, with local DJs Mike Diamond & My Cousin Vinny playing tracks all night. This months “Something2Do” dates are August 9 & 23.
Let’s make the rest of the summer a fun one, we can’t wait to party with you!
